The Klaxon Smart Alarm Clock is an android application and an extension of the alarm clock provided on the G1 phone.

Klaxon in addition lets users select any ring tone (including MP3s) for their alarm as well as set the volume level for them.

One of the best features of Klaxon is that it lets users choose a volume ramp up time, which essentially fades in the song over a selected time period.

There is also a customizable snooze feature which can be set between 5 and 25 minutes in multiples of 5 minutes.

In addition, Klaxon makes use of the accelerometer on the G1 phone and allows users to snooze the alarm by flipping the phone over.
